Time and again people wonder why do all good things come to an end, only to accept this as the only reality of life. However what if we were to tell you that we know of a good thing that won’t come to an end. If you’re in Mumbai and the only good thing coming to an end that you’re worried about is your night of revellery then you need to continue reading.

Yes you heard that right, for all the night crawlers who are unwillingly sent home inbetween their grooving sessions by the cops, we have good news for you, The Beer Cafe at T2 airport is open for you, open for you 24×7.

If this news itself wasn’t good enough, we were invited by the Guiltless foodies for midnight drinks and dinner at their very own #GuiltlessTable at The Beer Cafe.

We were really exited to be a part of this, not only because it was hosted by our very dear friends, but also because it very unusual for a blogger table to begin when it was almost midnight.

On arriving at T2 we were greeted by the bright yellow sign of the beer cafe. Enclosed in glass this looked like most of the other beer cafes that we had previously seen, but this was the first time we were entering one.

The ambience inside was like a modern day European bar with dim lights, though not dingy(thankfully) and loud and grooving music.

After greeting out fellow bloggers we took a round of the beer taps, and boy, were we spoiled for choice. Their beers ranged from Kingfisher and Fosters to Hoegarden and Stella with a choice of a 10oz & 16oz mug.

While the beer flowed, we tried some of the yummy preparations that the chef brought our way.

We began tasting with the vegetarian platter, named as The Hulk, and our favourite was the cheesy garlic bread, we also loved the batter fried onion rings, though we would skip the spring rolls the next time we visit. The platter came with three dips, our fav being the sweet chilly while the chilly Mayo also added a nice hint of creaminess to the fried foods.

Soon to follow were the Penne Arabiata and the Penne Alio Olio. Usually being fans of the white sauce pastas, this time we preferred the flavours of the arabiata as we found the Alio olio to be slightly bland and lacking the quintessential garlicy and nutty flavour.

We also happened to try the Vada Pavs, though we didn’t expect a place like the beer cafe to serve good vadapavs, we were certainly taken for a surprise. The VP’s had the authentic maharashtrian flavour and were perfect for a traveller who wanted to try one of the best things to eat in Mumbai.

We also tried the Veg Masala Biryani which we don’t think was up to the standards that we had began to expect after tasting The Beer Cafes other offerings.

As the last entreé we tried the Thai Green Curry with a bowl of plain rice.

The curry was like a spell brewed in a cauldron, everything came together like magic. The flavour of the spice along with the coconut milk was a perfect amalgamation, something that most of the restaurants find hard to achieve. If only we had the space in our tummies, we would definitely go for another bowlful.

While we were feeing full, to feel satiated we needed to indulge our sweet tooth. We tried the blueberry cheesecake, the pineapple gateaux and the chocolate truffle.

While the pineapple gateaux was a major disappointment, the blueberry cheesecake was a decent choice, however the chocolate truffle stood out as the winner amongst the three(as always!).

While this concluded our meal, we left planning our second trip to The Beer Cafe. Thanks to its splendid timings this place is surely one of the best places to visit in Mumbai or drinking here all night could also be a part of things to do in Mumbai as a tourist.
